Clear Cut is the story of my passion for diamonds and gemstones.

I come from a family of diamond merchants dating back to the end of the XIXth century. My grandfather was amongst the first major diamond merchants to be trading between India and Antwerp initially and then later with London, Manila and New York.

Given the international context of the family business, I grew up in New York, Hong Kong and Antwerp to finally settle down in Geneva, Switzerland.

My passion for diamonds and gemstones was born when I was around 12 years old and my father invited me to his office to sort out diamonds by colour and shape.  It wasn't easy as initially they all looked the same.  But with practice, I became accustomed to the colour nuances and began enjoying myself.

I am a certified gemmologist having studied Gemmology and Diamonds at the Gemmological Association of Great Britain, the world's longest established provider of gem and jewellery education.  I also studied rough diamond identification and diamond grading at the International Gemmological Institute in Antwerp, Belgium and participated in jewellery workshops organised by Sotheby's, London.

I work with diamond and gemstone dealers in Geneva, Switzerland.
